Gazette notification banning Jamaat-Shibir anytime: Home Minister

The process to ban the politics of Jamaat-Shibir is underway, and a gazette notification in this regard will be issued anytime.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said this while taking to journalists at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

Jamaat was a banned political party, but later got the right to participate in politics in the country, he said.

The pro-liberation political parties and members of the civil society have been demanding a complete ban on the politics of Jamaat-Shibir in the country, he added.
