“Army to provide all types of support to interim govt”

Chief of Army Staff General Wakar-Uz-Zaman has said the army will provide all possible support to the interim government headed by Muhammad Yunus.

The army chief said this while addressing a press briefing at army headquarters on Wednesday afternoon (August 7).

He mentioned that the interim government is likely to consist of 15 members. The government is expected to be sworn in by 8:00 PM on Thursday.

Meanwhile, he expects that the situation in the country will be normal within three-four days.
