Plea to file case against Sheikh Hasina, 4 others

An application has been made to file a case against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and four others for their alleged involvement in forced disappearance in the capital’s Uttara nine years ago.
Supreme Court lawyer Sohel Rana, victim of the forced disappearance, filed the application with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Farzana Shakila Sumu Chowdhury on Wednesday (August 14).
The court accepted the statement of the plaintiff and reserved the matter for later order.
Others who have been requested to be accused in the case are former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Law Minister Anisul Huq, former IGP Shahidul Haque, former RAB DG Benazir Ahmed and 25 unknown members of RAB.
