‘Committee to turn Ganabhaban into museum by tomorrow’

The interim government has taken a decision to turn Ganabhaban into the ‘July Uprising Memorial Museum’.

A committee will be formed by Sunday with architects and museum experts to materialise the decision.

Nahid Islam, adviser to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, made the announcement after visiting Ganabhaban on Saturday (September 7).

Youth and Sports adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan and Industry Ministry adviser Adilur Rahman Khan Adilur Rahman Khan were present at the moment.

Earlier on Thursday, the interim government took the decision to turn Ganabhaban into the ‘July Uprising Memorial Museum’ to preserve the memories of genocide happened in the month of July this year.

Asif Mahmud said, “Ganabhaban will be opened to the public. It will be made ‘July Uprising Memorial Museum’ to preserve the memories of the genocide that happened in the month of July.”
