Fire breaks out at garment factory in Gazipur

A fire broke out at the Big Boss garment factory in Bhabanipur area under Kashimpur police station of Gazipur on Wednesday noon.

According to sources, workers were demonstrating to realize their arrears, and the fire originated at around 11:30am. 

Being informed, fire service men rushed to the spot but they did not start to douse the fire.

Abdullah Al Arefin, deputy assistant director of the Gazipur Fire Service, said two firefighting units reached the scene, they were attacked by angry workers and were forced to return to the station.

We have sought the army help to reach there in a bid to douse the fire.
