Information Ministry declares 100-day work plan

Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam has declared a work plan for the next 100 days.
The adviser announced the work plan at a press briefing at the meeting room of the ministry at the Secretariat on Thursday. Besides, he also presented the works done by the ministry and its departments in the last one month.
Under the work plan, the adviser said, necessary reform of law and policy will be done for independent mass media. Initiatives will be taken for logical reform of the salary structure of journalists, involving young generation in making films, digitalizing cable TV network and modernize the licensing policy of online news portals.
As per the work plan for the next 100 days, initiatives will be taken to make Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television pro-people, documentaries will be made on the martyrs who sacrificed their lives and those who were injured during the mass upsurge and their families.
Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) and Department of Films and Publications (DFP) will work jointly to make documentaries on all corruption, injustice and crimes against humanity, including the recent killings, committed by the ousted Awami League government from 2009 to 2024, he also announced.
