Multidimensional discussions to be held with US team: Foreign Secretary

A high-level delegation of the United States is coming to Dhaka at the beginning of next week.

Multilateral issues will be discussed with the US delegation, and Dhaka is taking preparations in this regard.

Foreign Secretary Md Jashim Uddin said this while talking to journalists at his office on Thursday (September 12).

The foreign secretary said, “I do not want to make any kind of comment before the start of the discussion. I can say that the arrival of the first team of the United States after the interim government is a very important”.

The delegation, consisting of six members and led by deputy under secretary Brent Neiman from the US Department of Treasury, will arrive in Bangladesh on Saturday on a two-day visit. 

One of the delegation members, assistant secretary for South and Central Asia Donald Lu, will come to Dhaka via Delhi.
