DB inspector Arafat put on 3-day remand

DB inspector Arafat Hossain, who was arrested on Thursday night by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) for his alleged involvement in burning bodies after piling them up on a van near Ashulia Police Station, has been put on a three-day remand.
Dhaka’s Senior Judicial Magistrate Rabeya Begum granted the remand on Friday (September 13).
RAB said when the video of the incident came to light, they launched a shadow investigation. After intelligence monitoring, Arafat was arrested from Aftabnagar. At first, he was brought at RAB-4 office and, later handed over to Ashulia Police Station.
One Robiul Sunny filed the case against 30 including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina on September 11 with the Ashulia Police Station.
The other prominent accused in the case are Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel.
