Ex-Home Minister’s son Jyoti put on 4-day remand

Safi Mudassir Khan Jyoti, son of former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, has been put on a four-day remand in an attempt to murder case filed with Ashulia Police Station.
The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate in Dhaka Saiful Islam granted the remand on Saturday (September 14).
Sub-inspector (SI) of Ashulia Police Station Abu Taher Mia, also the investigation officer of the case, filed a petition seeking a seven-day remand.
Earlier, Safi Mudassir Khan Jyoti was arrested from the capital’s Uttara on Friday (September 13) night.
On September 11, the victim Md Rabiul Sani filed the attempt to murder case with Ashulia Police Station against 30 people, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Safi Mudassir Khan Jyoti.
