Ali Riaz replaces Dr Shahdeen as chief of Constitution Reform Commission

Prof. Ali Riaz has been appointed as the chief of the newly-formed Constitution Reform Commission instead of eminent jurist Dr Shahdeen Malik.
The Cabinet Division sent a letter to the legislative of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and secretary of Parliamentary Affairs Division on Wednesday (September 18).
On 11 September, the interim government’s Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus announced the formation of six reform commissions for overhauling the state apparatus in keeping with the aspirations of student protesters, who had led the ouster of Sheikh Hasina on 5 August.
