Ex-MP Fazle Karim put on remand

Former lawmaker from Chattogram-6 ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury has been put on a three-day remand in an arms case.

Chattogram Chief Judicial Magistrate Kazi Shahidul Islam granted the remand on Monday.

Court Inspector Zaker Hossain confirmed the matter. 
 
According to case documents, the police conducted a raid at Fazle Karim Chowdhury's residence and seized firearms, including a rifle, a locally made gun, a revolver, a shotgun, and seven rounds of ammunition.

Except for the rifle, all other arms were illegal. Following the incident, police filed a case under the Arms Act with the police station.
