Online application for secondary school admission begins Tuesday

The online admission process for government and private secondary schools for the new academic year will begin Tuesday (November 12).

The application will continue until 5.00pm on November 30.

The students will be selected via a lottery at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on December 12.

The application for these schools will take Tk 110. 

However, Upazila-level private schools will be able to admit students directly through a lottery with the approval of the local admission committee. The candidates will not be required to apply online, like private schools in metropolitan cities and Sadar Upazilas.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education issued a notification about admission at government and primary schools on Sunday.

Students have to apply on the TeleTalk website (https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd) for admission to government and private schools.

They can choose a maximum of five schools they are willing to get admitted to. For first graders, the age must be five years or above.
