48 police officials transferred, 16 others withdrawn 

The home ministry has transferred 48 senior officials to different units and attached 16 others to ranges after making them officers on special duty.

Two separate circulars were issued by the Public Security Division under the ministry on Monday.

The officers include the ranks of deputy inspector general (DIG), additional DIG, and superintendent of police (SP).

This order will come into effect immediately.
