Govt to procure 1.20 lakh MTs fertilizer

The government is going to procure 1.20 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer from Morocco and Saudi Arabia.

Agriculture ministry will buy 30 metric tonnes of TSP from Morocco, 30 MTs of granular urea, from Saudi Arabia, 30 MTs of bulk granular urea, 30 MTs of granular urea from Karnaphuli fertilizer company. The total cost of the procurement will be 30 metric tonnes.

The total cost will be 546.93 crore 93 taka.

According to sources, the fertilizer will be procured through four separate proposals. In this regard, 4 procurement proposals will be presented in the next meeting of the Government Procurement Advisory Committee for the approval.
