Awami League MP Dipu no more

Staff Correspondent, DHAKA, Dec 21: Ruling Awami League MP Mizanur Rahman Khan Dipu died at Apollo Hospital in the capital early Saturday.

He was 49 years.

He died of brain haemorrhage around 3am on Saturday.

He was admitted to the city`s Apollo Hospital on Friday night.

 

His namaz-e-janaza will be held on the South Palza of Jatiya Sangsad in the afternoon. 

 

President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of Awami League lawmaker Mizanur Rahman Khan Dipu.

 

In separate condolence messages, they said the nation has lost a dedicated lawmaker through his demise.

 

They also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.

 

Dipu was seeking re-election from Dhaka-6 constituency on an Awami League ticket.

He was elected a lawmaker for the first time in 2008 from that constituency.
