India’s Foreign Secretary expects positive relations with Bangladesh

External Affairs Secretary of India Vikram Misri has said that they expect positive relations with Bangladesh based on mutual goodwill.
He said this at a press briefing after a secretary-level foreign office consultation (FOC) with his Bangladesh counterpart Mohammad Jashim Uddin at the state guest house Padma on Monday.
“As a neighboring country, we always want positive relations with Bangladesh. We have also discussed this issue in today's meeting”, he said.
“We hope that this good relationship will continue in the future,” he said.
“We have discussed recent issues and conveyed concern, regarding issues related to the safety of minorities in Bangladesh. We have also discussed some incidents of ‘attacks on cultural, religious, and diplomatic properties”, he added.
