‘Those who became freedom fighters under 12.5 yrs old to be excluded`

Ministry of Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-e-Azam has said, those who became freedom fighters under 12 years and a half years old will be excluded.

“Those who became freedom fighters under 12 years and a half years old will be excluded. If the accused confess the matter, they will get a general amnesty; otherwise they will face severe punishment”. 

The adviser said this at a press conference held at his ministry on Wednesday (December 11) afternoon ahead of Intellectuals' Day and Victory Day.

Faruk-e-Azam said, “There are many people in the list of freedom fighters who did not participated in the Liberation of War, they will be cancelled and they should be given exemplary punishment.” 

He said, “Some people included their relatives in freedom fighters list and are being identified. However, it will take more time”.
