BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir speaking at a discussion
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has raised a question about the interim government’s neutrality.
He said the interim government is failing to play a neutral role in some regards.
The BNP secretary general made the comments at a discussion on the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Asad at the National Press Club on Thursday.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “I said this earlier as well. If the interim government is not neutral, then a neutral government will be needed during the election. I request and hope it is able to do so and fulfil its responsibility to free the country from the crisis.”
“Election should be held as early as possible, because the country's people have remained deprived of the exercising their voting rights for long 15 years. Now, they want to cast their ballots,” he said.
