Students of Titumir College block the rail line in Mohakhali area
Students of Government Titumir College have blocked the rail line in the capital’s Mohakhali to press home their seven demands including the college to be transformed into a university.
Students took position in Mohakhali rail crossing area and halted a train at around 3:40pm on Monday (February 3), showing red flags.
Train driver Abdul Latif told the media, “The Noakhali-bound Upakul Express train left Dhaka Railway Station at 3:25 pm. The train's speed limit was 30 kilometers per hour. From a distance, I saw red flags and a crowd of people at the Mohakhali railway gate. I was able to quickly slow down and stop the train. I have informed the higher authorities about the matter”.
