New monetary policy on Monday

Bangladesh Bank is set to announce the monetary policy statement (MPS) for the first half of the 2024-25 fiscal year at 3 pm on Monday (February 10).

Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur will announce the policy at the central bank’s Jahangir Alam conference hall.

The central bank issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (February 9).

It is reported that inflation control, reserve maintenance, and exchange rate stability will be given priority in this year's monetary policy.

Sources from the central bank said that this year's monetary policy will be very cautious.
