SP Tanvir sent to jail

Tanveer Salehin Emon, superintendent of police (SP), has been sent to jail in a murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam passed the order on Wednesday.

Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested Tanveer Salehin Emon from the Bangladesh Police Academy in Rajshahi on Tuesday night.

A team of DB police of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested him from the academy around 10:00pm.

On July 19, a trader named Abdul Wadud was killed in firing during the students movement.  A case was filed in this regard against 130 persons including Tanveer Salehin Emon.
