Actions against fireworks, explosives during Shab-e-Barat night 

Dhaka Metropolitan Police has already banned using all sorts of firecrackers and other explosives in the capital during the night of holy Shab-e-Barat.

The police have already issued a public notice warning people. 

In addition, members of law enforcing agencies including the police, RAB, and army are patrolling important intersections, areas, and neighborhoods in the capital.

The 12-hour restriction will come into effect from 6pm on Friday and remain in force until 6am on Saturday. 

The restrictions have been imposed in accordance with the Section 28 of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance-1976. 

DMP Commissioner Md Sazzat Ali said the holy Shab-e-Barat, the night of fortune, would be observed throughout the country Friday night with due religious fervour and devotion.
