Nation won’t pardon if we fail: Ali Reaz

Vice Chairman of the National Consensus Commission Ali Reaz has said that we have taken the responsibly to make the ways to build a new Bangladesh. We will not be pardoned if we fail. 

He came with the remark while speaking at the first meeting of the National Consensus Commission held at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka on Saturday.

“We reached here at the cost of many lives and long-time movement. The nation vests its responsibility upon us to build a new Bangladesh. We will not be pardoned if our initiatives fail,” he said.

The government-formed six reform commissions have already outlined the frameworks in their recommendations and now the government's task is to reach a national consensus to implement the recommendations, he said.

Efforts will be made to establish a consensus among political parties as swiftly as possible, aiming to move towards the national election, he said.
