Husband, wife killed in city road crash

A man and his wife were killed when a pickup ran over them in Matuail area of Jatrabari in Dhaka on Monday morning (February 17).

The deceased were known as Abdul Jabbar and Runa Akter.

The accident took place in Saddam market area around 7:00 am.

Jatrabari police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Mahmudul Hasan Irfan said a speedy pickup van hit three people were crossing a street in the area, leaving the husband and his wife dead on the spot and injured their daughter.

Later, the injured Jui Akter was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he added.
