50 lakh families to get rice at Tk 30 per kg: Food Adviser 

Under food-friendly programme, around 50 lakh families will get 15kg of rice at Tk 30 per kg in next two months.

Food and Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumder said this after the first session on the second day of the three-day District Commissioners (DCs) conference on Monday.

A large amount of food grains will be distributed at a very affordable prices and in some cases free of cost during the Ramadan. The DCs have been instructed to conduct the program in an orderly manner, he said.

He further said that the chief adviser is committed to making land management across the country digital.

Currently, survey work is being conducted with drones, and the government is utilising modern technologies.
