Govt urges 25°C AC limit to save electricity

Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Adviser Fouzul Kabir Khan has requested government and private offices, mosques, and households to set air conditioner (AC) temperatures at 25 degrees Celsius to combat electricity crisis.
The adviser made the call while addressing reporters after attending DC conference on Monday (February 17).
He said that the Ministry of Power will write to the Cabinet Division to monitor officials and employees to keep the AC temperature at 25-26 degrees in the Secretariat in the summer.
Fouzul Kabir Khan also warned, saying that a special monitoring team will ensure compliance.
