The people of the country expect security, reasonable prices of goods and harassment-free government services from the District Commissioners (DCs).
Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Hafiz said this while addressing the Deputy Commissioners' Conference at Osmani Auditorium in Dhaka on Tuesday.
He also said that members of the military and civil forces will work together for as long as necessary to restore peace and order in the country.
Regarding the ongoing ‘Operation Devil Hunt,’ Abdul Hafiz said that nearly 6,000 weapons had been looted, and over three-fourths of them had been recovered.
He considered this a major success, though 250,000 bullets were still to be recovered. He assured that the remaining weapons would be retrieved through ongoing operations.
Abdul Hafiz said, “The Awami League's allies are trying to destabilize the country. DCs must take a tough stance to save the country from them through vigilant surveillance.”
