Convener of the Jatiya Nagorik Party or National Citizens Party (NCP) Nahid Islam has said anti-discrimination or coordinator identity no longer exists.
He said this at a press conference on Friday (March 7) afternoon.
Nahid Islam said, “I did not say that the election is not possible by December. I said that the election is not possible in the fragile state of the police. My statement has been misrepresented.”
NPC member secretary Akhtar Hossain also spoke at the press conference.
The party will organise an iftar program with the families of those martyred and injured during the July-August uprising from across the country at Suhrawardy Udyan on 10 March.
In addition, an Iftar ceremony will be held with prominent figures, businessmen and others from across the country on 11 March, the press conference was told.
