Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul has said the trial over rape and murder of eight-year-old girl from Magura will be started within a week.
The adviser said this at a press briefing held at the ministry auditorium on Thursday afternoon.
“DNA samples have already been collected and the report is expected to come within next five days. We have also recorded statements of 12/13 people under section 161. We hope the trial will begin within the next seven days,” he said.
The law adviser said the child has died around 1 pm at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.
The law adviser hoped that the criminals will get exemplary punishment.
Dr Asif Nazrul urged journalists to keep an eye on those who want to create anarchy in the country over this issue and said the government will not tolerate any mayhem over this.
Pornography websites are being shut down
Pornography websites are being shut down from Friday, said Asif Nazrul.
He said, “Many pornography websites were opened after August 5. They will be shut down from tomorrow (Friday).” The adviser also said that these websites are being shut down because there is a link between pornography and rape.
