Parvez murder: Main accused arrested

Mehraz, main accused in the murder of Prime Asia University student Zahidul Islam Parvez, has been arrested.

Members of RAB-1 and RAB-13 arrested him from Gaibandha.

Assistant Director of RAB’s legal and media wing Muttajul Islam confirmed the matter on Wednesday.

According to the case details, a violent clash broke out on April 19 between students of English and Textile Engineering departments on the university’s Banani campus. 

During the incident, Zahidul Islam Parvez, a third-year student of Textile Engineering department, was fatally stabbed by members of opposing group.

Parvez, 24, hailed from Bhaluka in Mymensingh. 

His cousin Humayun Kabir filed a murder case with Banani Police Station on the night of the incident.
