A court in Dhaka has banned former Air Force chief Shaikh Abdul Hannan, his wife Tahmida Begum, son Sheikh Labib Hannan and daughter Sanjida Akter from travelling out of Bangladesh.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib issued the order on Monday (May 5) after the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed five separate petitions.
ACC public relations officer Aktarul Islam confirmed the matter.
According to the case statement, the national anti-graft watchdog formed a team to investigate allegations against Hannan involving abuse of power, bribery, state fund mismanagement, recruitment scams, and illegally acquired assets.
