Committee formed to probe Abdul Hamid’s departure

The interim government has formed a high-level committee to investigate the recent departure of former President Abdul Hamid from the country via Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Chief Adviser’s press wing said this on Sunday (May 11).

The head of the committee is Education Adviser CR Abrar. Other members are Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan and Labour and Employment Adviser Brig Gen (Retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hossain.

The committee has been asked to submit a report within 15 days.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs will provide secretarial support to the committee.

The former President left the country for Thailand through Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka early Thursday. 
He was accompanied by his younger son, Riyad Ahmed, and brother-in-law, Naushad Khan.
