Chief Adviser signs gazette on banning AL activities

Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has signed the gazette banning the activities of Awami League. 

According to sources, the Home Ministry will issue the gazette today (May 12) after the vetting by the Law Ministry is completed.

On May 10, the Advisory Council of the interim government decided to ban the politics of the Awami League in the country. 
Protests held in various parts of the country, including the capital, demanding a ban on Awami League politics.  

In the wake of the situation, the Advisory Council of the interim government took the decision at an emergency meeting.
