Bottle throwing at info adviser: One being interrogated at DB office

Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam came under attack on Wednesday night while speaking at a Jagannath University students’ sit-in in front of the Kakrail Mosque in Dhaka.

One is being interrogated at the DB office in connection with the incident.

Mohammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Police Commissioner, Media and Public Relations Department, DMP, said this to media on Friday afternoon.

He said that a person is being interrogated at the DB office in connection with the incident of throwing a water bottle at the information adviser. After the interrogation, he will be handed over to his guardian. 

The DB official said that his identity has been kept confidential for the sake of the investigation.
