Planning Commission finalized development budget

The Planning Commission has finalized the annual development program (ADP) for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
The decision was taken in a meeting at NEC conference room in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Sunday (May 18).
It has framed a Tk 2,30,000 crore annual development programme (ADP) for the fiscal year to upgrade the country's transport and communication sector.
As usual, 70 percent of the development budget has been allocated to the five major sectors, of which only the transport and communication sector has received 25 percent.
The draft ADP was approved by Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting.
Planning Advisor Dr. Wahid Uddin Mahmud confirmed this information after the meeting.
