The number of unemployed people in the country stands at 2,610,000 according to Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics.
A notification issued by the BBS, confirmed the data on Sunday (May 18).
The number of people participating in the country's labor force has also decreased, according to the Labor Force Survey.
There were around 25.5 lakh unemployed people at the end of September 2024. The unemployment rate in the country in 2024 was 4.48 percent.
