Fire at Mirpur Shyamal slum brought under control

A massive fire that broke out at Shyamal Palli slum in the capital’s Mirpur has been brought under control.

The fire originated at the slum around 7:55 pm.

Later, on information, seven first firefighting units arrived at the scene and brought the blaze under control around 9:10 pm.

Fire Service Headquarters Duty Officer Shajahan Hossain said that the fire was brought under control. However, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are not initially known. Immediately.
