Nusrat Faria sent to jail

Actor Nusrat Faria has been sent to jail in an attempted murder case filed with Bhatara thana.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haq passed the order after a hearing on Monday morning.

The bail hearing will be held on May 22. 

Bhatara Thana Sub Inspector Billal Bhuiyan filed a petition to keep actor Nusrat Faria in jail in the case.

Actor Nusrat Faria was detained from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. 

Immigration police of the airport detained her on Sunday (May 18). 

According to a source associated with Immigration police, Nusrat Faria was detained while she was trying to leave Dhaka for Thailand. 

Nusrat Faria was shown arrested in an attempted murder case related to July uprising. The case was filed with Bhatara thana in 2024 as she acted as money contributor of Awami League at that time.
