Three children hurt in cocktail explosion in Jashore

Three children of a family were hurt in a cocktail explosion at around 8:30am on Monday in Shankarpur area of Jashore.
The cocktail was found when they were playing.
Three children are Sajib Hossain, 6, Khadija Khatun, 3, and Ayesha Khatun, 3. They were children of Shahdat Hossain in Golpata mosque area of Shankarpur.
Condition of a child is very critical who has been sent to Dhaka for better treatment.
Locals said that around 8:30 am, the children were playing in a field near the Choton intersection. While playing, Khadija picked up an object (cocktail) that looked like a ball. When she brought it home and played with two other siblings, it exploded.
Currently, Sajib and Ayesha are undergoing treatment at the women's surgery ward of Jashore Sadar Hospital. The mother of the injured children also gave this information. Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Hasnat said that three people were seriously injured in the cocktail explosion. The police have inspected the scene and started investigating the incident.
