BNP Chairperson`s adviser Zainul Abdin Farroque has said that BNP will not take responsibility for the instability of the interim government led by Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
The BNP leader made the remark at a rally organized by ‘Oporajeyo Bangladesh’ in front of the National Press Club on Friday.
Zainul Abdin Farroque said, “You (Yunus) said that the election will be held in July. It will not be in July, it will be in December... If you had given a roadmap, there was no problem. But, the election roadmap has not been announced yet. If you create unrest, BNP will never accept responsibility for it.”
He said “You (Yunus) were appointed Chief Adviser with the sympathy of millions of people following the July uprising. It has been nine months, yet you have not been able to present a clear election roadmap. Although you have said the election would be held in June, no specific details have been provided.”
“We are hearing that you may be considering resignation. A sense of instability has arisen. Who is responsible for this unrest? Remove them and provide us with an election roadmap. This unrest is being caused by your own people, not the BNP.”
