Verdict on July massacre trial during this govt: Law Adviser

Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul said that there is a demand in society to make the process of prosecuting crimes against humanity committed during the July Uprising visible. The verdict will be available during the tenure of this government.

The adviser said this through a Facebook post on Monday noon (May 26).

He said the investigation team has completed the investigation of several cases. The prosecution team has examined and formed a formal charge in one case. It was taken into consideration after it was submitted to the tribunal yesterday.

The hearing of Sheikh Hasina's case as the main accused in crimes against humanity is going to start soon. We will get the verdict of this trial during the rule of Dr. Yunus Sir's government, he wrote.
