Tarique, Zubaida acquitted in graft case

The High Court (HC) has acquitted BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman of the charges in a graft case.
A High Court division bench of Justice Md Khasruzzaman passed the order on Wednesday (May 28).
Tarique Rahman's lawyers said that with this verdict, he was acquitted in all cases.
Earlier, the appeal hearing against Zubayda Rahman's sentence concluded on May 26. After the hearing, the court set May 28 for the verdict.
Senior lawyer SM Shahjahan, Barrister Kaiser Kamal, and Advocate Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan moved the case for Zubayda Rahman in the court.
