CA urges Chinese investors to set up manufacturing hub in Bangladesh

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has called on Chinese investors to invest in Bangladesh to develop it as a manufacturing hub.
The adviser made the call while addressing an inaugural ceremony of China-Bangladesh Conference on Investment and Trade in the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) office, Agargaon, in the capital on Sunday (June 1).
Around 250 investors and businessmen from 100 Chinese companies participated in the conference.
Meanwhile, Professor Muhammad Yunus thanked President Xi Jinping for encouraging Chinese businessmen to invest in Bangladesh.
He said, "This is the first time we are holding a conference with such a large number of foreign investors. This is just the beginning, we will walk more paths together in the future."
The Chief Adviser told Chinese investors, "Invest here to make Bangladesh a manufacturing hub. Ready-made garments, energy, agriculture, jute, and information technology are potential industries here."
