Salahuddin files charges against Hasina, 6 others in ICT

BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has filed charges against seven people, including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) regarding his own enforced disappearance.

He submitted the complaint to Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam at the tribunal around 11:00 am on Tuesday (June 3).

The other accused are former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former inspector general of police Benazir Ahmed, police officer Monirul Islam, army officer Ziaul Ahsan, DMP commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia, and AKM Shahidul Haque.

Salahuddin told reporters, "I call upon those who were victims of enforced disappearances, killings, and torture during the fascist era in Bangladesh to file cases regarding all these incidents. I urge for increased logistic support so that all these cases can be tried at the ICT."
