Tight security measures in force during Eid: RAB

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has announced that adequate security measures have been taken across the country ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

The elite force is working to prevent any kind of mischief at the sacrificial animal markets or homes, said RAB’s media wing Commander Wing Commander MZM Intekhab Chowdhury.

He said this while addressing a press conference at RAB media center in the capital’s Karwan Bazar on Tuesday (June 3).

Intekhab Chowdhury said that a lot of financial transactions take place in the buying and selling of animals at the sacrificial market. In this case, there is a risk of counterfeit money being circulated through unscrupulous groups. Machines have been installed in the markets to detect counterfeit money.

He said, "RAB magistrates are taking legal action through mobile courts if they find irregularities at the market.”
