Govt cancels all leave for law enforcement personnel

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the government has cancelled all leave for law enforcement personnel across the country to ensure the safety of people and property.

The adviser said this while addressing reporters after a meeting on law enforcing situations ahead of the Eid at the ministry on Tuesday (June 3).

He said, "The government has taken strict measures to control the law and order situation in the capital ahead of the 10-day Eid holiday."

He also said that the force has already been actively deployed in all cities and places.

Chief Adviser's Special Assistant at the Ministry of Home Affairs Md Khuda Baksh Chowdhury, and Advocate Shamsur Rahman Khan Shimul Biswas, Coordinator of the Owner-Sramik Oikya Parishad, were present at the time.
