This year`s budget will be fully implemented: Planning Adviser

Planning Adviser Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud has asserted that the budget we have proposed this time has been checked and we have done what is realistic and can be done. Therefore, we hope that this budget will be fully implemented.

The adviser said this while addressing a press conference at Osmani auditorium around 3:00pm on Tuesday (June 3).

He said that we have already said that this budget is realistic. We have tried to give a budget that is good for everyone. In the eyes of many, this is a realistic budget for a fragile economy. A major portion of the budget is going to pay off foreign and domestic debts. We are trying to come out from that.

Among the many projects of the previous government, we have made cuts in Matarbari, the Chattogram Bay Terminal Project, and the Mongla Port Project. In addition, more priority is being given to ongoing rural projects to decentralize citizen services.
