ACC files case against 9 including Tanvir Mishuk

The Anti-Corruption Commission has filed a case against nine people, including Nagad Limited’s Managing Director Tanvir Ahmed Mishuk, on charges of embezzling Tk 645 crore from the digital financial service.
ACC Assistant Director Mohammad Shahjahan Miraz filed the case with its integrated district office in Dhaka-1 on Wednesday.
ACC Deputy Director for Public Relations Aktarul Islam confirmed this.
The other accused include Nagad Limited’s Executive Director Md Safayet Alam, 48, Additional Managing Director Aminul Haque, 41, and Senior Manager of Treasury Department Maruful Islam Jalak.
According to the case, the accused in collusion with each other embezzled Tk 645 crore from Nagad Limited by creating additional Tk 645 crore e-money through forgery from March 1, 2021, till November 17, 2024.
