First Hajj return flight arrives with 369 pilgrims

A total of 369 pilgrims returned home today (June 10) marking the beginning of the month-long repatriation of Bangladeshi pilgrims after the successful completion of the holy pilgrimage.
The pilgrims arrived at 10:54am at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) by a Saudia Airlines flight SV-3803.
Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), Air Vice-Marshal Md. Manzur Kabir Bhuiyan welcomed the returnees with flowers at the boarding bridge.
According to the CAAB, more than 2500 hajj pilgrims will return home by seven flights today.
A total of 87,157 pilgrims went to Saudi Arabia for hajj this year under public and private management. Among them, a total of 19 pilgrims died.
The first flight departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on April 29. Hajj flights continued until May 31.
