Tulip’s letter received, would be addressed legally: Press Secretary

The letter British MP Tulip Siddiq, the niece of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, requesting a meeting with Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, sent has been received, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has confirmed.

“Tulip’s letter has been received. It was a legal issue and would be addressed legally,” Shafiqul Alam said.

He said this in response to a question of journalists at the Bangladesh High Commission in London on Tuesday (June 10).

Prof Yunus is currently on a four-day official visit to the United Kingdom.
